ELPH Saddle Club is for children ages 5 through 18. Our Saddle Club is a fun way to learn, talk and dream more about horses! Children will make new friends, experience fun activities, explore the farm and learn about horses!
Our Saddle club will meet once a month at the barn on Saturday from 2:00pm-5:00pm
Saddle club fee is $40 a month
Saddle club will be year round unless the Saturday falls on a horse show weekend.
Saddle Club activities:
- Arts and crafts
- Learning proper grooming techniques
- Learning about grain and how to properly feed the horses
- Learn how to clean tack properly
- How to braid your horse’s mane and tail for shows
- Hiking
- Chores
- Explore the property (50+ acres)
- Learn the anatomy of a horse
- Learn about the different horse colors and breeds
- Every Saddle club member will have to do a project and present to the group once a month
- Learn about different styles of riding, saddles and bridles
- Lots of fun games and learning all while making other horse crazy friends!
Every member will receive a ELPH Saddle club shirt!
Please note: our saddle club does not involve any riding. If your child wishes to ride please contact us to sign up for riding lessons.
